JHCE completed various assignments to support the Port of San Francisco under the Engineering On-Call Contract.  This included work on Piers 70, 90, 94, and 96: 

For Pier 70, JHCE reviewed and recommended adjustments of annual operations & maintenance budgets for open space infrastructure (streets, parks, etc.) and also provided independent review of quantity takeoffs and conceptual capital cost estimates for redevelopment. For Pier 90, JHCE developed a conceptual a cost estimate for the demolition of grain silos. For Pier 90, JHCE supported the development of as-built drawings for two barges which are slated for rehabilitation. For Pier 94 Backlands, JHCE developed a cost estimate for preliminary site redevelopment including regrading, disposal of contaminated soils and gravel, etc. Pier 96 was slated for replacement of sheet piles to address predicted sea level rise. JHCE developed a conceptual cost estimate for removal and reinstallation of an overhang to facilitate replacement of the piles and developed options for cathodic protection of the seawall.
